Self Funding Conference

Some months back I read a very interesting article in the Employee Benefit News magazine.  Karrie Andes, Director of Human Resources at Deffenbaugh Industries, was becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the information being offered on self insurance at conferences she was attending.  Her questions were just not being answered.  As a result, Karrie decided that there was only one way to alleviate this problem --- sponsor her own conference!

The Savvy Self-Funding Conference and Expo is being held from August 14 to August 16 at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri (follow link).  The Conference offers presentations by subject-matter experts on a dizzying array of topics as well as offering access to a large number of exhibitors which include carriers and brokers.

If you are currently self-funding or are thinking about it, consider attending this conference.  It will address areas pertinent to self-insured plans and provide attendees with fresh perspectives  Not only will I be attending this conference, but I also have the pleasure of presenting a session titled “Retiree Coverage: Creative ways to protect your plan from drowning!”.  Hope to see you there.
